The cottage is cleverly appointed with not only original works

Lisa is known to her collectors for her bold abstracted landscapes.
She draws inspiration for her creations directly from her surroundings,
often taking photographs of the landscape to use later in the studio.
The Acadian horizon has found a historical place within many of her pieces.
Earlier this year and while walking the lakes surrounding the LSU campus,
she became transfixed by the hundreds of flowering water lilies
that thrive and provide the illusion of solid ground.
Days later, she returned again only to find the scene destroyed
due to a toxin applied for management of growth.
DiStefano created a series of new paintings
of suspended floral clusters adrift in abstracted waterways
resulting in a celebration of the beauty
that now exist only as a moment in mind.
A native of Baton Rouge, diStefano’s artwork has found a home
in many private, public, and corporate collections.
She has been a featured artist in selected exhibitions in Chicago,
Dallas, New York, and Louisiana.
DiStefano’s paintings have appeared in Southern Accents,
Veranda, and other magazines and newspapers.
