Selected as one of 15 communities as a Creative Placemaker by the Mayor's Institute of City Design, Arnaudville is a small French village, emerging as a new art and cultural community since Hurricane Katrina. The famous NUNU Arts and Culture Collective is located within walking distance and includes art and craft galleries, features local bands, workshops, art retreats and the studio of George Marks. The galley and studio of nature painter Vincent Darby, the "Norman Rockwell of the Bayou," is a short walk away, as is Tom's Fiddle and Bow where on the first Saturday of every month you can bring your instrument and participate in their monthly organic acoustic jam.
